The second day we visited the LUHU cafe, where mostly deaf people work. Already at the entrance we were charmed by the calm atmosphere and the kind attitude of the staff. The owner Engelien showed us how to make a “cappuccino” and we quickly felt at home.
In addition to excellent coffee, the café offers teas, breakfast, lunch and evening snacks. The place is proof that communication can be easy without words. Engelien dreams of more branches and inspires deaf people not to be afraid of entrepreneurship.
LUHU is a beautiful place where two worlds meet. We left excited and will definitely be happy to come back.
