Welcome to our first survey! Various news offerings in signed languages were launched in 2023 thanks to the project ‘Deaf Journalism Europe’, co-funded by the European Union. The project concludes at the end of May 2025, and there is significant interest in how these news services can be continued in the future. As part of the project, we want to explore sustainable strategies for their continuation.

The survey consists of two parts: we would like to know about your news consumption and gauge your willingness to support our news service in your national sign language through paid means.

Our survey is available in six different sign languages from the partners of our project. The survey responses will be analysed, and the findings summarised in a report, which will be distributed across the national networks of partner organisations and published digitally on the website: www.deafjournalism.eu.
